Become Certified!

American DanceWheels' WheelOne™ Syllabus teaches a skill that is new to most dance studios. Dance teachers have the ability to add to their repertoire and open up a whole new customer base. Wheelchair dancing is very social in nature and fits in well with existing dance class offerings. It is also a great way to interact with the local community as a whole and offers a chance for studios to get additional exposure in the areas where they teach. Classes can be marketed to such groups as schools, veterans, seniors, support groups or hospitals. Since this is an inclusive activity that involves standing partners, you can also reach individuals that otherwise may not have considered the benefits and enjoyment that dance offers.

Certification lessons can be taken in person as well as through Skype. Our Wheel One™ syllabus, adapted from the traditional Ballroom and Latin dance steps and rhythms, is designed to give participants using wheelchairs the ability to social dance with standing partners.
