Groundbreaking Scientific Study - ADF partners with the Palo Alto Veterans Hospital to study the effects of wheelchair ballroom dance on people with spinal cord injuries.

American DanceWheels proudly participated in a groundbreaking 6-week scientific study at the Palo Alto Veteran Hospital. Collaborating with researchers, we explored the impact of our Wheel One syllabus on individuals with spinal cord injuries. The results were profoundly significant, revealing numerous psychological and physical benefits for participants. Following the study, a milestone event unfolded at Dancing with the Stars professional Cheryl Burke's studio in Mountain View, CA. Cheryl graciously welcomed all dancers, marking the inaugural wheelchair dance competition at her esteemed studio. This event not only celebrated the achievements of participants but also highlighted the transformative power of inclusive dance in breaking down barriers and fostering community.
